Updated on Oct 06, 2018 06:09 pm IST
Renowned fashion designer Tarun Tahiliani spoke at the second day of the Hindustan Times leadership Summit 2018. Talking about bridal couture and fashion, Tahiliani said that he wants brides to wear lehengas that they are able to wear and walk in. “I've seen brides needing four people to carry them to the stage”. He said that he even read how a bride's lehenga fell off as the fastening could not hold onto the 30 kgs of weight of the garment. He said that clothes need to be made which people can have fun in, instead of being bogged down in. “It has to be practical, you have to be able to live in these beautiful clothes!”
