Pejavara Mutt Chief Vishwesha Teertha Swami passes away in Karnataka

Pejavara Mutt Chief Vishwesha Teertha Swami passed away on December 29. He died at 88 in Karnataka's Udupi after battling ill health. He was hospitalised at Kasturba Hospital on December 20 after developing breathing difficulties. The pontiff was taken back to Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt with ventilator support early on Sunday as he had wished. Teertha Swami was known for his social and educational work. He was also active in Ram Janma Bhoomi movement.
