In 1996, Atal Bihari Vajpayee quit after a 13-day stint without taking a confidence vote. He told the Parliament that his party would serve as a strong Opposition, after his resignation. The Narendra Modi government will face a no-confidence vote on Friday and it's the first time in 15 years that a vote of this kind is being held.
