Watch | Bridge collapses due to heavy current in river in Kangra

A large portion of the 160-metre bridge and its pillars collapsed and got swept away in the heavy current of Chhochh River in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. The 44-year-old bridge was washed away by heavy flood waters. The bridge was a direct connection for many villagers of Himachal's Nurpur tehsil with neighbouring Punjab. Nobody was injured in the collapse.
