Prime Minister Narendra Modi declined a standing ovation at Bharatiya Janata Party's weekly Parliamentary Party meeting. When the party's MPs met on Wednesday, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Patel addressed them and asked them to stand and applaud the Prime Minister over the passage of Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 in Lok Sabha. However, PM said that the MPs shouldn't applaud him, but the party's unit and people of Karnataka over the 'excellent results' in the recent bypolls.
