WhatsApp snooping row: Ravi Shankar Prasad Vs Digvijaya Singh in Rajya Sabha

The WhatsApp snooping row came up for discussion in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday. Congress leader Digvijaya Singh called for a Joint Parliamentary Committee to investigate the snooping row. Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad responded to the Congress saying that Indian and foreign digital players should understand that the safety and security of Indians was of prime importance. He also added that government has sent notices to the companies to clarify on the snooping row.
