Zika spread: 29 people found with virus in Rajasthan

The Rajasthan Additional Chief Secretary (Health) confirmed that 29 people have been infected with Zika in the state so far. “These days, 150-200 teams of the health department are in the area, doing a combing operation. They are visiting homes individually and surveying. Till now, 26,000 homes have been surveyed. We are identifying the fever cases, and the pregnant women. Where we think samples are needed, we are taking samples and are being tested at SMS Medical College. The central team is taking the SMS college results to be reliable. Total positive cases till now are 29.”
