2G scam: Congress defends Chidambaram
Updated on Jul 09, 2011 08:56 pm IST
Finance minister Pranab Mukherjee on Friday defended his predecessor, P Chidambaram over non-recording of minutes of the high-profile meeting between Chidambaram and A Raja, the main accused in multi-billion telecom scam. After the exit of DMK leader Dayanidhi Maran from the Cabinet, the Opposition has now targeted home minister P Chidambaram in the scam. The BJP has objected to the fact that there are no minutes of a meeting on May 29 where Chidambaram and A Raja reportedly discussed the processes followed by Raja while allocating licences.
