40 killed in lorry accident

The post marriage feast in Hassan district turned mournful when the lorry carrying people skidded and rolled into a ditch. At least 40 people died on the spot. Around 60 people, who were injured on the fateful night are admitted in the Hassan General Hospital. The driver tried to reverse the vehicle when they found a live electric wire hanging across the road. In the process of reversing, the vehicle skidded off the tank bed and rolled into the ditch.
