'50 people may be dead in Kolkata hospital fire'

Chaos broke out on the premises of the AMRI Hospital where a fire broke out this morning with families of patients vandalising the reception counter aggrieved that no list of the dead and injured was provided. Atleast 50 people are feared dead in the fire. The toll is expected to rise, said fire officials who battled the blaze which was spotted around 3:30 AM.Hundreds of family members of patients smashed glass panes at the reception and threw away hospital registers. Some of the patients from the hospital were taken to thestate-run SSKM Hospital, the police said.MLA MP Basudev Acharya says that according to his sources 50 people might have killed in fire.
