52 people stranded in flooded area rescued in Haryana

About 52 people who were stranded in a heavily flooded area in Haryana were rescued by a joint operation run by the army and the National Disaster Relief Management (NDRF) teams. The people were trapped within a tract of land at Lapra village in the state's Yamunanagar district after the surrounding area was heavily flooded by the water of the Yamuna River. Continuous monsoon rains in the region have heavily flooded many areas and have created troublesome situation for the local people as they struggled to save their lives and properties.
