6% drop in inflation is a healthy sign: Montek

Deputy chairman of Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia on Tuesady said that the latest indication of 6% dip in the rate of inflation in India amid negative trends witnessed around the globe is a welcome sign. Although this is a healthy trend, Ahluwalia observed that it is still not very tolerable. Further he said the low export rate of India has also been due to the slump in the global economic scenario.
