8 per cent increment in DA for Govt employees, pensioners

The Indian cabinet on Friday raised the dearness allowance for government employees and pensioners by 8 percent. Soni, who is also the cabinet spokesperson, said the central cabinet has approved the creation of a National Population register for the whole country. This register will keep data of the 1.2 billion population of India. The cabinet also approved the bill to provide for prohibition of certain unfair practices in technical and medical educational institutions and universities.
