A Ramadoss calls his arrest a political vendetta

Updated on May 03, 2013 08:56 pm IST

Former union health minister Anbumani Ramadoss called his arrest by the police in Chennai as an act of political vendetta by the incumbent state government. The police arrested Ramadoss, who is Tamil Nadu's PMK party president, for allegedly violating conditions laid down by them during the party's youth conference, which was held in Mamallapuram near Chennai in 2012. Anbumani said that the arrest showed the vindictive attitude of Tamil Nadu chief J Jayalalithaa. His father and party founder S Ramadoss and several other top leaders were arrested on April 30 when they attempted to stage a protest. He also said that unwanted charges have been slapped against him. Keywords: A Ramadoss, Arrest, Political Vendetta, PMK, J Jayalalithaa, S Ramadoss
