The famous Naini Lake is slowly regaining its lost grandeur. On the advice of American experts, the district administration has set up a special plant aerating the Naini Lake waters. Naini Lakes' water quality and size was deteriorating alarmingly with increased inflow of tourists and urban waste. This was also threatening the supply of potable water to the town. The state administration then launched a drive to improve the lake's ecology and save its precocious eco-system.
