AFSPA will be withdrawn from certain areas: Omar

Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah said that the controversial Armed Forces Special Power Act (AFSPA) will be withdrawn from areas where army is not required. Omar who presided over civil secretariat in summer capital Srinagar also said that the people in Srinagar are happy, as their grievances would be heard. This annual century-old tradition of shifting of the secretariat from Srinagar to Jammu and vice-versa is popularly known as 'Durbar Move'.
