Chief of Indian Air Force P. V. Naik in Siliguri on Wednesday said that the Indian Air Force is well equipped and ready to face any situation as and when it is required. However Naik admitted the Indian Air Force is buying some products now, which should have been bought 10 years back. Speaking on the role of Indian Air Force in evacuating people stuck in Libya, Naik said that Air Force is always ready to assist the government but Air Force planes require various clearances from different countries, therefore it is better to use civil carriers.
