Ajmal Kasab hanged

In a secret operation, Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone surviving Pakistani terrorist of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, was hanged at Pune's Yerwada Jail today morning at 7.30 am. Kasab, who was being kept at the Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai, was moved to the Yerwada jail on Sunday night. Maharashtra's Home Minister RR Patil has confirmed the execution. Doctors present in the jail have also checked and confirmed that Ajmal Kasab is dead. Kasab's mercy plea was rejected by President Pranab Mukherjee on November 05.
