Akhilesh launches unemployment allowance scheme

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav launched an unemployment allowance scheme in Lucknow, which has been one of the flagship schemes of the Samajwadi Party led government. While addressing the audience gathered, the state chief said that the government would continue this scheme even if it means widening the ambit of the budget. Samajwadi Party President Mulayam Singh Yadav also added that the scheme would help in bringing the backward sections of the society to the forefront. More than ten thousand people were given cheques of Rs. 2,000 by the state government.
