A special CBI court on Friday granted bail to eight persons arrested for the LIC Housing loan scam. Anjani Singh, advocate of one of the accused, Maninder Singh Johar, director of Central Bank of India, said that all eight have been granted bail on a surety of Rs 2 lakh for each. He further added that any re-arrest will be possible when CBI serves an application for it. However, CBI sought the rearrest of Rajesh Sharma and Suresh Gattani of Money Matters, which is at the centre of the scam for allegedly facilitating loans from public sector banks and institutions unlawfully.
