All eyes on vice-presidential poll

Voting for the vice presidential poll began at 10:00 hours on Friday to elect a successor to Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, who quit the post after losing the race for Raisina Hill last month. In this process members of both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha exercise their franchise. Though today's appearing was a mere formality as the UPA-Left nominee Hamid Ansari is already far ahead of his two rivals in the numbers game.
