Rajya Sabha chairman Hamid Ansari, on Sunday convened an all-party meet to ensure the smooth functioning of the house. The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, leader of opposition in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley and other senior leaders in New Delhi. The session, which begins from April 22, is likely to witness uproar due to media reports that law minister Ashwani Kumar allegedly tried to influence the CBI report into coal scam. The Shiv Sena refused the government's suggestion to defer live telecast of the house's proceedings to ensure that expunged material is not aired.
