Allahabad High Court cancels Greater Noida land acquisition
Updated on Jul 19, 2011 08:45 pm IST
In yet another blow to Mayawati government, Allahabad High Court today quashed the land acquisition of nearly 600 hectares of land in two villages in Greater Noida. Canceling the acquisition, the High Court ordered that land acquired in Patwari and Dewla villages in Greater Noida be returned to farmers. The order came almost a fortnight after the Supreme Court had cancelled the acquisition of 156 hectares of land by the state government in neighbouring Shahberi village in the area.
