Ancient fort in Imphal being renovated

Kangla fort, the famous heritage structure in Imphal, is getting a facelift. This is an effort by the Manipur government to give fillip to tourism in the region. The entire area covering 237.62 acres has already been declared as protected area. As per the recommendations of Concept Development Plan, financial allocation worth more than 100 million US Dollars has been set aside for its development.
