Andhra Pradesh CM Kiran Reddy resigns, quits Congress

Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, who is upset over the Telangana bill being passed by the Lok Sabha, resigned on Wednesday. Reddy has announced his resignation and said that he can't continue. Reddy resigned from the post of CM, MLA and membership of the Congress party. The former chief minister also attacked the entire Congress high command including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh wore a deserted look on Wednesday after regional, YSR Congress Party called for a shutdown in the state protesting against the contentious proposal of bifurcating the state and carving new state of Telangana, which was passed in lower house of the parliament.
