Ankle monitors standard procedures for checking visa malice: US official

United States Assistant Secretary of State for Public Affairs Philip J. Crowley, on Monday said that ankle monitors are standard procedures for investigations on visa malice. Speaking at a news conference in Washington DC, Crowley said although the electronic device was being used, it did not imply guilt or criminal activity. He added that the issue of visa fraud is very serious and a helpline has been set up for the Indian students.
