Anna starts daylong symbolic fast

Veteran anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare has started his daylong fast at Jantar Mantar in support of a strong Lokpal Bill. Team Anna member Kiran Bedi addressed the swelling crowds gathered to show their solidarity with the Gandhian. All political parties except allies of the United Progressive Alliance coalition have agreed to take part in a public debate on the Lokpal issue at 1 pm in Jantar Mantar. National Democratic Alliance leader Arun Jaitley, Sharad Yadav from the Janata Dal United party and Congress Party of India-Marxist leader Brinda Karat are expected to participate.
