Arrest me if I am anti-national: Anna Hazare
Updated on Jun 13, 2012 02:15 pm IST
Veteran social activist and anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare has slammed the central government, saying that if the government perceived him as anti-national, it had the means to arrest him. Hazare also slammed the government for alleging that his movement against corruption was funded from abroad, saying that such an offhand, unsubstantiated charge was not becoming of the PMO. Meanwhile, former Karnataka lokayukta, justice N Santosh Hegde concurred with Hazare's criticism of the 'foreign hand' charge, saying that such allegations were a throwback to the politics of the 1970s and were now redundant.
