While addressing a press conference at Guwahati on Monday Tarun Gogoi, chief minister of Assam said that all rebel groups including elusive commander-in-chief of United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA), Paresh Baruah, ought to respond to his invitation for talks in the interest of peace in the region. Recently, Gogoi had disclosed that the government would not 'wait indefinitely' for Baruah, to come forth for talks. He also described the arrest of Ranjan Daimary alias DR Nabla, the chief of the anti-talks faction of National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB), as a prized catch.
