Baluch expatriates don't want Pak to win semi-final

Updated on Mar 28, 2011 08:34 pm IST

The much-awaited Mohali semifinal seems to have excited everyone, even beyond the borders of India and Pakistan. Baluch expatriates based in London say that Pakistan should not win the World Cup match against India, as the Pakistani players would receive gifts of land from the government, if they win, like they did after winning the World Cup in 1992. Demonstrating outside the United States embassy in London against the increasing violence in Baluchistan province by the Pakistan army, Baluch political parties based in the U.K said they would not cheer for the Pakistan team in the ongoing cricket World Cup and especially for the semi-final match in which they would face India.
