Basis of Ayodhya verdict disturbing: CPI (M)
Updated on Oct 06, 2010 09:34 pm IST
Feeling jittery post the Ayodhya verdict, Prakash Karat, General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) said that the three-way division of land will set precarious examples for the future as the judgment is based on 'faith' and not 'fact'. He said this while briefing the media persons after a top-level meeting of the party's Politburo at New Delhi on Tuesday. Terming the demolition of the mosque as criminal, Karat added that the case is an assault on the secular principle of India and hence should now be seriously taken up by the Supreme Court.
