Updated on Dec 18, 2011 02:56 pm IST
The Bhagwad Gita has faced a ban in Russia on allegations of being a piece of extremist literature. It has been alleged that the Bhagwad Gita preaches social discord. The Indian community in Moscow and the International Society for Krishna Consciousness has taken up the matter with the Indian govt. It wants New Delhi to intervene politically to prevent any such move. A court is to pronounce the verdict on Monday.
