Bhanwari Devi case accused flees from police custody

Lawyers at a court in Jodhpur have criticized the incident where a group of miscreants open fired at police officials outside the court premises and fled with one of the accused in the abduction and murder case of Bhanwari Devi. A group of nearly a dozen men open fired at police officials outside the court. Two of the accused in the case, Kailash Jakhar and Bishna Ram, had been taken to a hearing of the case. Their guard was attacked by the armed miscreants when they were being taken out after the hearing. While Jakhar managed to escape, the police managed to retain Bishna Ram.
