Bhattacharjee and Paswan escape landmine blast

West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and Central Minister Ramvilas Paswan had a lucky escape when a landmine exploded within minutes of their convoy passing through a Maoist-infested area on Sunday. Five policemen, including the driver, of the last car of Minister Ramvilas Paswan''s convoy were seriously injured. Bhattacharjee and Paswan had come to Salboni, to inaugurate Bengal Steel, the country's largest steel project of Jindal Steel Works.
