Bhopal gas victims file RTI plea on Nuclear Liability Bill

Victims of Bhopal gas tragedy, one of the world's worst ever industrial disasters, filed a Right to Information (RTI) petition at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) in New Delhi on Tuesday. This RTI plea is to ascertain whether the central government took into consideration the disaster of gas leak at the Union Carbide plant at Bhopal in 1984 while drafting the Civil Nuclear Liability Bill with the USA. Scores of survivors, mostly women, went to PM office and filed this plea as well as reminded the government for its promised action in the betterment of the gas tragedy victims.
