Bhutan gears up to host SAARC summit

The tiny Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan is gearing up to host the biggest party in its history next week when leaders of eight south Asian nations will arrive in the picturesque valley of Thimphu to discuss trade and environment, to participate in the SAARC summit starting from April 28. All roads leading to capital Thimphu have been decorated with banners and flags of India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Maldives - the eight countries that form the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC).
