Bihar elections to take place in six phases

The Bihar elections would take place in six phases, commencing on 21 October. S Y Querishi, Chief Election Commissioner announced this along with the schedule for polls at New Delhi on Monday. Further he mentioned that the elections would be held in 56,943 polling stations spread across the state in which over 55 million electorate are expected to exercise their franchise. Qureshi also said the EVMs would be randomly checked for accuracy in the presence of the representatives of recognised political parties.
