Birbhum violence: Naqvi says WB becoming safe haven for terrorists

Updated on Oct 30, 2014 02:52 pm IST

BJP Vice-President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi visited West Bengal on Thursday to assess the killing of party workers, allegedly by members of the regional Trinamool Congress (TMC) and called the state government a party of militants, mafias and criminals. Naqvi said that TMC should use their efforts in helping the people there, instead of attacking them. Three persons were killed and many severely injured in a clash between the TMC and BJP supporters at Makra village in Birbhum district in West Bengal.
