BJP confident of emerging victorious in general elections

India's main opposition party Bharatiya Janata Party is confident of emerging victorious in the upcoming national polls. Lal Krishna Advani, senior BJP leader and the prime ministerial candidate of the party in an election rally in northern Allahabad, expressed confidence that his party would come in power. However, a ginger group of three allies of the ruling coalition who have formed a separate alliance felt that there was no chance of Advani becoming India's prime minister.
