After reports emerged that the former Petroleum Minister S Jaipal Reddy's removal from the post is attributed to his run-in with Reliance Industries, owned by Mukesh Ambani, the BJP today asked the government to explain why the minister was removed from the Oil Ministry. The same question was asked by activist- turned-politician Arvind Kejriwal, who also demanded an explaination. According to media reports, Jaipal Reddy, who lost the Oil Ministry, is deeply upset by his transfer to Science and Technology, widely perceived as a demotion. Keywords: S Jaipal Reddy, Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani, BJP, Oil Ministry, Science and Technology
