As the date for elections in Gujarat nears a fresh war of words has erupted between the Congress and BJP after the Gujarat Congress unit President Arjun Modhwadia compared Chief Minister Narendra Modi to a monkey.Speaking at a rally Modhwadia slammed Modi saying that the monkeys climb on trees and challenge lions to climb as well. Lions cannot climb trees, but monkeys can never become lions, the state Congress chief added, comparing Prime Minister Manmohan Singh with lion. However, later Modhwadia said that he was misquoted and he never compared Modi to a monkey.
