BJP slams UPA on inflation, Govt blames global prices

India is currently reeling under the wave of high prices and sky-rocketing inflation. The already high inflation shot up to 8.75% after the government hiked the fuel prices. The main opposition, Bhartiya Janata Party slammed the ruling Congress Party for such unprecedented rise in prices. However, the Congress party blamed the surge in global oil prices for inflationary trends in India.
