BlackBerry optimistic of resolving security issues

Faced with an August 31 deadline to address the country's security concerns, Blackberry maker Research In Motion (RIM) on Friday said it was "optimistic" of resolving the issue with the Government. A top-level delegation of the Canadian firm met India's Home Secretary GK Pillai to discuss the government's warning that it would ban Blackberry's corporate email and messaging unless it gave security agencies access to the services.
