Cabinet Reshuffle to take place today evening

After a two-hour meeting between Sonia Gandhi and the Prime Minister on Tuesday, the much-expected Cabinet reshuffle will take place today evening. The four key ministries-Home, Finance, External Affairs and Defence are likely to be unchanged. Government sources ruled out the speculations of any minister being dropped from the cabinet. A few new faces may be introduced of election bound states of UP, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. While from UP, Beni Prasad Verma may be new entrant in the council of ministers, existing ministers Salman Khurshid, who handles corporate affairs and Shri Pakash Jaiswal who is Minister for Coal may be elevated to the Cabinet rank.
