CAG observations disputable: PM

Speaking for the first time on the CAG report over the coal scam, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today defended the government in Lok Sabha and said that the allegations are baseless. Amid slogan shouting by the BJP members, Singh further added that the observations of the CAG are clearly disputable. Singh made a brief appearance before the Rajya Sabha as well where he placed his statement on the CAG report. The House was shortly afterwards adjourned till 2 pm.
