Canadian PM accorded ceremonial reception in New Delhi

Visiting Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper was today accorded a ceremonial reception at Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi. He is likely to hold a meeting with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to discuss nuclear cooperation and ways to step up bilateral trade and economic ties. Harper's visit is being viewed, as the stepping-stone of a deal that would enable Canadian companies like Cameco Corp to export uranium to India. Harper will be in India from November 04-09 with International Trade Minister Ed Fast and a group of corporate executives.
