Cap-making a source of livelihood for thousands

The traditional yet stylish headgear popular in Himachal Pradesh has become a source of livelihood for thousands in the hill state. The bright and colourul headgear, made of woollen cloth, derives its name from the place of its origin, Kullu. The colourful borders with beautiful patterns are separately woven on small looms by artisans across Kullu district.
