Cartoonist Aseem Trivedi produced in court

Mumbai police has finally agreed to release cartoonist Aseem Trivedi's custody after Maharashtra home minister RR Patil said that there is no need to detain Aseem. However, Trivedi has been produced in the court. Trivedi who was taken into police custody on charges of sedition for allegedly insulting national symbols in his sketches was produced in court today. Earlier in the day, parents of Aseem Trivedi had said that he only raised his voice against rampant corruption in the country and did not breach any law.
