CBI arrests Punjab's CPS Raj Khurana

The Central Bureau of Investigation on Thursday morning arrested Punjab's Chief Parliamentary Secretary (CPS) and sitting Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator Raj Khurana from his official residence in Chandigarh on charges of corruption and disproportionate assets. According to certain media reports, Khurana was under the CBI scanner for several months in connection with a graft case. However, sources close to Khurana maintained they were not informed why the legislator had been arrested.
