Chautala goes ‘Khap’ way, backs early girl marriage

Indian National Lok Dal chief, Om Prakash Chautala today backed the decision of village community groups suggesting reducing of marriage age for girls to 15 years in wake of surge in the number of rape cases in Haryana. Referring to Mughal era, Chautala said that we should learn from our history where in people used to get their girls married at young age to prevent them from being exploited by the hands of mughal emperors.
